Crematorium

Located in the grounds of Nudgee Cemetery, the Nudgee Crematorium provides a centrally located facility for a dignified and respectful cremation service.

Uniquely this is Brisbane's only Catholic Crematorium however the facility is not limited to the Catholic faith. The Crematorium is available for all religions and faiths. It is also available for secular cremations.

Cremation Memorials 

There are many options for creating a lasting memorial including Memorial Gardens; Stations of the Cross Memorial Garden and Garden Edge placements. A plaque and granite plinth (where necessary) is included in the purchase price.

Another option to consider is the interment of cremated remains (commonly called ashes) into family graves.

Our cremation memorials are reserved for 25 years and once an interment of ashes has taken place the memorial is regarded as  perpetual (forever).

 Memorialisation

Memorialisation of cremated remains holds the same significance for those left behind that the memorial does for a burial.  Even if the family chooses to take the ashes home, a memorial gives the deceased's friends and colleagues the opportunity to remember and reflect on the life of that person.  In recent years there has been a substantial increase in the number of people tracing their family tree.  Memorials are a permanent marker where family, friends and future generations can come and reflect, pray and celebrate a life lived in a previous generation.
